Quick answers to the most frequent issues
The extension isn't picking up audio
Babbl captures the Meet tab's audio output, not your microphone. You need at least one other participant speaking for subtitles to appear. If you're alone in the meeting, there's no audio output to capture.
To test on your own, join the same meeting from a second device or browser profile and speak there. Make sure you click Start after joining the call. If it still doesn't work, try refreshing the Meet tab and pressing Start again.
Subtitles appear but they're wrong
Accuracy depends on background noise, microphone quality, and how clearly people are speaking. Try selecting the spoken language manually instead of using auto-detect. That usually helps.
I ran out of minutes
Free accounts get 30 minutes. Once you hit the limit, the extension stops. Paid plans are coming soon. For now, email us if you need more time to evaluate.
Does it work on mobile?
Not right now. Babbl is a Chrome extension, and mobile browsers don't support extensions. You'll need to use Chrome on a computer. If you're in a Meet on your phone, the desktop participant with Babbl can still see the translated subtitles on their end.
How do I sign out or switch accounts?
Open the extension popup, click the gear icon to go to Settings, scroll to Account and hit "Sign out." You can then sign back in with a different Google account.
Request data deletion
We don't store audio or transcripts, so there's not much to delete. But if you signed in and want your usage records removed, email [email protected] from the same address you used to sign in. We'll take care of it within a few days.

Include debug logs for faster troubleshooting
When reporting a bug, it helps if you include the debug logs from the extension. Click the gear icon in the popup, then scroll to Advanced and click "Download." Attach that file to your email.
